CHARLES FRASER - VOTING MEMBER Charles is from England, studied film, philosophy and international politics at The University of Cape Town where he stepped into the study and practice of Dhamma and meditation through the study and service of nature. Charles Founded Green Camp with the help of the other directors of The Foundation For Common Good 501(c)(3) that you can read more about below. Green Camp was initially incubated at The Camp that Charles had started at Arundel Forest Garden but the camp grew too quickly for the comfort of the land owners and had to be closed. Charles is now focused on designing and building The Zome construction system, the main structure for 'The Basic Green Camp Infrastructure'. The Zome creates an asset for the co-operative which will allow us to rent a field and move ahead with Version 3 of the Business Plan, deploying camps where people can come to explore how to live in universal symbiosis, in ways that are of benefit to all, or at least ways of living that harm as few as possible. For more info about and personal updates Charles read his bio-page HERE

GEORGINA B POUNDS - PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT The inventive and playful design of The Green Camp Zome Construction System is fascinating because of its multiple use in an architectural context. With a background in architecture, I have been working on 3D renders of Green Camp Zome configurations for new camps in beautiful potential camp sites all over the world where we have invitations to set up Green Camps as well as regeneration of underserved areas, slums and emergency contexts. Some examples include an isolated Zome in the Swiss Alps, refugee camps, festival Zomes and a blossoming Co-Operative. Each arrangement is reflective of the surrounding space, the purpose of use, the number of residents, the type of activity and the nature of the people involved. It is useful not only to visualise the end result but also to develop the design through three-dimension. Similar projects I have worked on include exhibition design (Damien Hirst), a temporary pavilion in Lincoln's Inn Fields (AOC Architects), and a conceptual food market in Japan (Unit 10). I am interested in translating my experience into the Green Camp Coop because the project endeavours to push boundaries in temporary architecture – something that is at the utmost importance in architecture today.
